Starlotackle is an Aussie Father & Son start-up (one half of which needs little introduction!), which we established in 2023 to recreate the classic and much loved lightweight resin jig heads, which disappeared from local shelves about 15 years ago, using a combination of 3D printing, top-tier razor sharp forged hooks, a bit of tinkering, and borrowing from a lifetime of Steve’s fishing knowledge.
The result was a resounding success, and over the years we’ve made many thousands of them, continually improved the design, and had a blast doing it.
We’ve been able to further refine the finesse soft plastic fishing formula in ways not previously possible in large scale manufacture, and adapted it into a range of colourways, weedless formats, larger formats, and much more.
After a number of years, we’ve continued to expand the range of offerings into new frontiers beyond resin jig heads, and we’ve also partnered with the all-American Fishbites® brand to bring their awesome range of bait alternatives to Aussie shores, with local support, for the first time.
We like to think that Starlotackle is about much more nowadays – We believe good tackle is fundamental to great fishing, and we aim to provide a platform for innovation in fishing tackle, and a means to give anglers more choice in their fishing tackle options.
And underpinning that, we strive to offer great, personal service to our loyal customers; listening to new ideas, providing real advice and support, and sharing our journey with the global fishing community.
